What's the minimum hire time?

The minimum hire time is 4 hours.

Are the backdrops free to use?

The backdrops are free to use if not soiled.

If soiled and stood on, there's a charge of £10 per used/stood-on metre (and non damaged)

If there’s a colour you would like us to specifically order for your hire, we can order the standard sized (2.72 x 11 metres) Colorama backdrop for you, for a cost of £100. Please note that at least 3 working days must be given (more ideally as we cannot be held responsible for if the requested backdrop hasn’t arrived by the date/time of your hire).

What about setting-up and taking-down time?

Setting up and taking down must be done within your booking time.

The studio must be vacated by the end of your time slot.

Is the studio a daylight studio?

The studio has a 12x1.8mt bay of south-facing windows all along its length and benefits from the option of natural light. The average reading on a medium-heavy London cloudy/misty day is constantly approx 125/f4* at windows proximity and 125/f2.8* at studio half-width at an average reading based on incident light metering@ISO400.

Direct sunlight on a bright day hits the studio in the early morning (till 11 am according to yeartime)

Daylight can be enhanced thanks to HMI lighting, or filtered tungsten ( or evened with flash).

Is the studio a blackout studio?

NO, the studio has a roller curtain system providing approximately a 65-75% blackout option. Anyway, and to give a reference, when the roller curtains are rolled down the average meter reading is of

Is the studio a soundproof studio?

No, the studio is NOT soundproof and the window bay is single glazed, but the surroundings are usually very quiet, So, for example, you don't hear much traffic.

Is the studio pet friendly (can I bring my dog)?

The studio is pet friendly (but pet owners are fully responsible for any damage caused by or to the pet during the hire time)

Is there parking available near the studio?

Free street parking is available on Greenfield Road across the road from the studio building in the boxes marked in white. Parking is also available further down the road and also on COKE street and also.

The building has a private parking lot but availability cannot always be guaranteed due to big productions often reserving it all.

Of course access to the private parking lot for loading-unloading shoot related material purpose time is granted.

4th floor, is there a lift?

Yes there is a lift (max load 682kg/8 persons).

Is there an assistant?

A Studio team member will be always at reach during the hire time. Studio or Shoot assistance (DIT i.e.) has to be discussed previously (at a cost).
